Organic compost garden soil is a blend of aged vegetable compost, humus, with slight amount of sandy loam, and course sand. This soil is perfect for a vegetable garden, planting raised garden beds, flower beds, and general landscape planting. Furthermore, it is high in organic matter. The ingredients are blended as to provide for good permeation and aeration for a healthy root system and successful garden. Texas Garden Materials has bulk garden soil for sale by the cubic yard. Organic compost garden soil is sold loose in bulk.
HOW TO USE:
Apply liberally wherever organic matter is needed. Each bag will cover a 3′ x 6′ area 2″ deep.
Container Gardens: Mix two parts with one part garden loam, and one part perlite or sand. Add 1 Tbsp all-purpose fertilizer per gallon of soil.
Vegetable & Flower Gardens: Spread 2 inches over your entire garden annually and work into the soil 6-8 inches. Mulch perennial beds with a 1-4 inch thick layer.
Shrubs & Trees: In late spring, mulch around plants with a 1-4 inch thick layer.
Established Lawns: Add a 1/2 inch layer to lawns and gently rake over area. Mix with grass seed and add to bare spots.
Ingredients: Derived from forest products, dairy manure, chicken manure, worm castings, bat guano, kelp meal and oyster shell.
